See how your page would look in a Google result

Type in a page's title and description and I'll show you roughly how the search result would look, including whether it's likely to get cut off.

What you type here never leaves your browser. Nothing gets sent to a server or saved anywhere.

How to use it

The coloured chip tells you whether the text will probably fit whole or get cut off with an ellipsis. Green means you're fine; if it turns red, try shortening the sentence or moving the important part to the front.

Limitations

Google rewrites titles and descriptions fairly often, especially when it decides your text doesn't match the search well. This gives you a reasonable estimate of how your text would look as written, not a guarantee Google will actually use it that way.

This preview tool is one piece of on-page content work. Titles and descriptions matter, but they're not the whole job.
